I found this an interesting read, and thought I'd pass it along. A study of the ability to localize sound in reduced gravity.
http://web.media.mit.edu/~raffik/zero-g/aup/final.html I wonder what the effects would be on human hearing in increased gravity environments. The article rests much of its conclusions on the fact of increased blood-flow to the brain, and the distubance of the fluid of the inner ear. The strongest gravitational fields on the earth are located in the Northewest Atlantic/Northern Europe, and the South Pacific/Northern Australia. Makes you ponder if this affects the listening preferences between the locals. Next time I go to Europe, or if I ever get to the South Pacific, I'll pack some speakers and an amp and take notes.....
