Question Startup project

Hi,
I am completly new to this site and has read some basic information. I have a few questions I hope you can help me with.

1. All the LCD displays seems to have a resolution of something like 640x234, but some people mention 800x600. Where do I buy this type of displays?

2. Should the lens be bigger than the LCD panel? I dont suppose it is possible to use a 10" panel with a ½" lens?

3. What is needed to connect a LCD panel to a computer (the VGA)?

I hope you can help

I have reaad a lot of the discussions in this forum, but before I start spending a lot of money I would like to make sure I don't buy the wring stuff.

Thanks,
Morten
