Default Bush DAB FM NE-3160 radio problem

Hi all diyaudio-ers
My son's 2 year old Bush DAB FM NE-3160 radio has stopped working...
i.e. the 'dial' lights up but no info is displayed and no sound comes from the speakers.
The mains psu is working and I have tried a DC psu connected to the battery terminals with the same result as above.
Has anybody out there worked on one of these or have any schematics?
The Bush name now appears to belong to Home Retail Group in the UK.
Thanks for any thoughts.
Old Percy
