It is almost always the same. Somewhere in an interview with
almost any Hi Fi luminary is a mention of first hearing the Quad speaker. That was usually when the addiction took serious hold.

Although I'm no luminary, I had the same experience- they were something that changed my interest in hifi into a sickness
