I only name my DIY projects when they aren't working like they're supposed to. I would tell you their names, but this is a moderated board.

Heheh... as long as it's not an "oh, god!" followed by a puke or something, i'd suit it ok.

I think I'll name mine George, after the quiet Beatle.
In fact, I think I'll go listen to some George on the George.

Default Amp names

I know an engineer that named a tube amp that he modified "The Emerald City." Something about the Wizard of Oz. I think I will name my next amp Zardoz after another great movie. This guy also took a prototype solid state amp to CES one year in a large wooden enclosure. He spent a lot of money to have it painted to "look nice". A certain contributer to this forum (you know who you are J.H.) always refered to it afterwords as "The Black Laquer Dog House". It was a pretty good description. I only name cars. I named my wife's midlife crisis Miata after the very atractive young blond wife of one of one of her coworkers. She lives in fear the girl will find out that I named the car after her. My wife and I met at the University of Arkansas, so when I inheirited a maroon Pontiac Grand Prix I dubbed it "The Big Red Pig." Go Razorbacks.

H.H.
