If you are an LT-Spice user, be sure to make a back up copy of the component files before doing am update from their website. They call it a "release sync". I've donr this many times in the past with no trouble. HOWEVER this morning the process over wrote the standard.bjt file rather than merged it. This means my collection of BJT models were erased, zapped, disappeared !! Per the documentation the updated file should merge with the existing file, not replace it.
Hopefully, this was a one time glitch by LT that will be corrected soon. It may already be corrected. Just the same be careful and make backup files first. Luckily, I can restre most of them because I know the source or they can to me as e-mail attachments. Still, it is a tedious boring process. |
