Default What's in your basement? (AUDIO ONLY!!!!)

So my friend just got Comcast Xfinity service and the guy hosed up the house telephone infrastructure. So he calls me and asks if I can help him out. I say sure and we schedule a weekend. I go down to the basement and I had to take some pictures...

I don't have a basement. House is built on a slab... alas that means things go in the attic, and it gets hot here! But I have to say, those could have been pictures of my attic... lots of parts 'n stuff, boxes, etc. etc.

These pics are old. It's gotten worse since then. Most of the things you see in my sig line are in there now. When I say 'Some of Cal's stuff', it means only some, I'll have to update it too.

Very nice Cal. Way neater than his...

Charlie. We don't have basements in the deep south either so I had Troy-mart at a storage unit and anytime a friend needed wire or parts I would say meet me there... But mine is diy parts and pieces.

This guy has at least 10 complete systems in his basement. I'm going to see if I can get him into audiophile anonymous soon.

Basements. One plumbing leak away from disaster. If stuff is worth keeping, don't store it directly on the floor...

Doesn't that depend on your location? My speaker room is in the basement, the slab has full floor drainage and the house is on a hill.

Amen to that. When the hot water tank blew, it didn't flood, but the carpet in my speaker room next door soaked it up quite nicely and the bottoms of a few boxes are now a bit, uh, how do you say...lumpy?
