For anyone that is interested, if you own a DUAL turntable and the tonearm
does not advance or reject, it is probably the steuerpimpel, a small rubber-like "cap" that fits on the tonearm's lower assembly. If you need a quick and dirty substitute, I did this: I bought a piece of 1/16 x 1/8 weed-eater fuel line. I cut a 1/8" piece off of it and carefully slid it onto the shaft. It swells
just exactly enough to repair the turntable. Mine works great. It is a 1219, but I'm certain this will work with other models.
