Thanks Mooly and Dirk for your impressions. I'll have to look at my code 'cause I can't remember which is which!

I'll wait a few days before I disclose the identities.

Well, given my poor hearing, and the fact that I used MS Media Player driving a Little Dot DAC_1 via USB 3.0 and using Sennheiser HD598 headphones via a unity gain headphone amp, I'm surprised I could hear much difference at all. But version A was clearly better.

Thanks.

I want to provide lossless files (FLAC) for the full experience, but will cut them down to about 20 secs long for file size issues. Would a 20 second clip be enough for you guys?

I've nothing that plays FLAC files tbh. For myself I think the 320kbs MP3 played as I did would be better than FLAC via my laptop.

OK, thanks. The differences should be big enough to show up in a good MP3 anyway. We are talking about running a signal thru fruits, veggies and mud.

A new wonder every day when you think you have seen everything. I suppose men in Asia will want versions filled with snake urine.

All I have to say iz that the Tennessee version would be running through BS - which means that I'm going out the same door that I just came in through......

We can always count on you, Thomas!

Hey, the experiment is easy to do. Why not try some B.S.? or is there too much on the audio forums already?
