Restoring Nakamichi 480
Got a Nak 480 on the cheap which I intend to restore (mostly to acquire knowledge;-). Since owning this machine I believe in voodoo!
Switching on the thing makes the tape wind, rewind, fast, slow, record or sit idle: whatever it feels to do at the time. Also the lamps for record, play and pause are on or off whenever the machines 'feels' it's time to do so.
I have full documentation but still can't figure out what's wrong with it.
Any hint in the correct direction is highly appreciated.
