Wink If there was an instrument you would play what would it be?

Hmm I usually don't post on the forums I just read but I sometimes get funny post ideas in this section lol..

We all love music there's no doubt in that I'm fairly sure However how can you truly know what sound is unless you have had at least a little bit of musical experience or lively musical presence.

I played a tiny tiny bit of guitar and piano when I was younger nothing serious.. although I've had thoughts of wanting to play guitar again (I only knew how to play four songs on guitar.. and poorly haha).

My father on the other hand is a master at guitar He never plays anymore however We have a nice little spanish guitar collecting dust...

I have fallen in love with the duduk and panflute.. They are exteremly deep instruments, philosophical in a sense and pure air. I've had this urging feeling to get a panflute.. heck I don't even know where I could purchase one since its such an exclusive instrument (few play it)...

Anyways.. a panflute is my choice. What about you guys?

Bassoon. Double-reeds have always fascinated me.

Default didgeridoo

Didgeridoo, defiantly the didgeridoo.
I heard a really unfortunate story some time ago about wind players who practice cyclic breathing. It seams (statistically) they don’t live as long as the general population or other musicians. It just seems sad to me that a musician’s craft would shorten their life.

I keep trying to sneak off to a music store when I'm in New Orleans to buy an accordion, but the wife is onto me and wont let me get away.

The bassoon is a neat instrument, but the oboe is so melodic.

It would definitely be Bass or Cello for me. The sound of those instruments is so deep and jazzy. A good bass player (not bass guitar mind you) accompanied solely by a percussion unit is a delight.

I'd have to say Sax or Piano. I don't think I have a musical bone in my body unfortunately

I got sick of only being able to play a CD, so I am trying to learn to play bass guitar, in the hope that I will eventually have a sound enough footing in music theory to play an upright. Ever since eigth grade when my school brought in a jazz trio I have been fascinated by the sound of the upright bass, and that was 30 years ago...

"Playing" the bass has sparked a return to a quest for better sound. Too many projects are in the works.

My first speaker building project was a sub, using the JBL 2245H following the article in the August 83 Audio (Sixth order, 24 Hz. f3). A refoam later, it is still with me.
