Default Dutch DIY 2004

Hello All,

I have been inspired by the american and canadian DIY'ers that regularly come together to listen, see, share knowledge and discuss DIY audio.

Since this has never been done before in The Netherlands i'd at first like to see if there is any interest at all !

So if you are interested in sharing your ideas/knowledge, show your equipment/speakers or even show your half finished products, please let me know !

I have no date in mind. It is largely dependent on the number of interested people. Even so for the place !

any questions, or you would like to offer help, submit ideas ?
you can mail me at :

dutch_diy_2004 at yahoo.co.uk

best regards,

Simon

Simon,

Good plan! Count me in!

A few years ago, I organised the CD Modification Workshop at the University of Twente. The visitors were almost all members the hifi.nl forum. I got sponsoring and support from the local Electronics Store ("Display Elektronica"), and got cheap housing in an electronics laboratory at the University.

The final finances were a bit problematic, because some people failed to showup, but I already made reservations for them.

There was coffee and free lunch, and a test-installation for the people to listen to their improvements. (borrowed from a local hifi shop). It was a great day, everyone enjoyed it, even though they had to pay more money.

I haven't got time to do it again, but I surely will come if one was organised again! You have my support!

Hi,

that seems a pretty good idea to me!
Count me in, as well as 2 friends of mine, who are just/also as weird as I am...

Grtz,Joris

En natuurlijk ff de nederlandse vertaling hiervan:

Heej gozert,

dat lijkt me een strak plan.
Reken voor mij maar 3 personen, aangezien ik zeker weet dat twee vrienden van mij die net zo gek zijn als ik zeker ook interesse hebben.

Groet, Joris

If it is not in Vaals or Den Helder I'll be very interested in such a thing!

greetings, Hans-Willem

People in Enschede, why dont we have a little pre-party event? I know there are quite a few of you out there...

Great idea ! Maybe a small trade fair for parts could be an extra feature ?!?!
