Tantalum capacitor scrap
Does anyone know of a place I can sell a couple pounds on solid Tantalum capacitors as scrap?
It fetches a good price and I have no use for them.
Thanks in advance,

I doubt anyone from diuaudio will buy it for audio.

The someone would have to be willing to process the caps. They are not just solid chunks of tantalum. They have wire leads that may be solder tinned, they may contain lead, they have an epoxy or other outer coating, etc.

Just google "tantalum recycle" for many links to relevant materials. I think they make a distinction between scrap, wwhich is leftover tantalum material, and recycling products that contain tantalum. But ask them, not me.

Hi everyone, I saw your post, and just wanted to mention that the company I work for buys the Tantalum capacitors as well as the tantalum chunks. We are a USA company. if you need any more help, post or send me an email.
