What were the speakers at the end of Clockwork Orange?

Just watched the movie again for the nth time (one of my all time fave's)...the scene where they wheel in these monstrous speakers as Alex lays in a hospital bed...

Got me wonderin' - they almost look like Soundlabs, but would be a bit anachronistic

Props...no wires...cutouts for a 36" woofer (that has no depth to speak of) and 9 - 12" (aprox)

also a "stereo" on a cart with no wires

It was supposed to be the future, remember? Who needs wires in the future?

What about the stereo on the billiards table a bit earlier?
