How would the circuit elements be configured? I know that there will be series resistance, inductance, and parallel capacitance but does anyone have a schematic they could post? I'm doing some research on how output impedance of audio players and amplifiers affects the transfer function and thus frequency response, etc.

You might want to do some literature searching as well- this is a topic where there's extensive modeling and data.
Have you tried Google? I think you will find lots of information out there.
Google seems to only show schematics with the speaker symbol in amplification circuits. I have yet to find a schematic of it's actual elemental model.
I don't think it's all that easy to find on Google. Here's a link that I eventually found that I thought looked interesting:
