Who made PYE electronics in the 70's?

I was hoping that someone knows what manufacturer made PYE electroincs which where sold in Australia. In particular, what company made the PYE RCR400 (1970's) as seen below in the pic.

Maybe the Hu Flung Dung Electric Company.

More seriously, some some were made by the likes of Sanyo, others small companies like the above.
Do you need parts or advice ?.

I worked for Philips TMC (mobile radio stuff) in '83-'84 and Pye was apparently something to do with Philips then...

I think Pye and AWA were associated, but items like the above were Asian sourced ime.

but i was hoping to find someone who might have worked for AWA who could remember where there PYE stuff was sourced from. mrf: I think you are right about the link between PYE and AWA. AWA sold PYE badged stuff. I was just curious whether one of the big Japanese companies like Panasonic, Sanyo, JVC etc sold OEM to people like AWA.
