Anyone got any interesting audiophile product placement stories, from TV or movies?
Was just watching the pilot of "Alphas" and found one of the characters listening to Spica TC-50's on a turntable setup.

"The Mechanic" had some nice looking gear. "Diva" has some gorgeous Revox gear that the character couldn't possibly afford in real life. I think he also had a Nagra portable to make bootleg recordings. Maybe he sold the bootlegs to desperate collectors?
How about Jesse's sound system in "Breaking Bad"? Not that it qualifies as audiophile, or that you can even tell what brand it is.

I always remember the Martin Logans in Joey and Chandler's apartment in Friends.
Not that they ever use them in the series, but they're always there against the wall (poor speaker placement if you ask me 😛 )

There's some intriguing audio gear in episode 14, series 8 of the UK series "Heartbeat". A furnished apartment comes with a tube amp I can't recognize (long and rectangular, no cover, fully covered transformers (not just end bells), big output tubes of maybe some 6L6 variant), and an unmistakable Transcriptors turntable. Which I don't believe was on the market yet in the '60s.
