Default thrift store purchase

Bought this set at the thrift store today; and I wanted to just know if it's any good!

All of it is Kenwood:
Amp: stereo integrated amplifier ka-128
Av surround processor: ss-78
Automatic return turntable kd-38r
Cassette deck, ce changer, fm am, blah blah
Speakers: two 4 way 5 speaker system 180w max, jl-988av

What do you think? Def not an audiophile but just wondering!

Thanks

As I remember, the vintage Kenwood components were fairly good.... not the very best but, better than a lot of components sold back then.

If you are happy with your purchase, that is all that matters IMO.

Ha yeah, youre right, I'm very happy with it!
Ive just read that a mediocre turntable doesn't do vinyl justice and since I've never heard a good turntable I don't know if mine is mediocre! Haha.

If the picture i found on the net is accurate it doesn't make mediocre.

There was a poor picture of the speakers, and chance you can take some pics of the driver. It would be intersting to know how the 3 horns are wired to make it a 4-way.

Absolutely! Just open up a speaker and take a picture of what I assume is a circuitboard?

That is how you'd get a picture of at lest one side of the XO. I'm as interested in the front & back of the drivers.

You can google each model number and get specs, click "Images" on the Google results and get pics. The receiver's pretty high power at 125w/ch, and I have a good impression of Kenwood receivers overall.

I'm looking here:
https://www.google.com/search?q=kd-3...qWIYiY6AHHtsl_
and it doesn't look like a high-end one. While looks can be deceiving, I'm thinking the turntable would be the first thing I'd replace/upgrade.

Thanks for the info! And yeah that's exactly the one I have, obviously.

Sorry took me a while, but here are the speakers.

I've got plenty more if you need to see anything else.
