Just a joke - the point being we usually get on about things audio here. My GPS unit will take you down every side street and alleyway available and is dumber that a barrel of monkeys. I use it to find out where I am at and then I look at a map to figure out a route that makes sense to humans. Great units to help find your location! Lousy device for getting from point A to point B.
About the best advice I could give you is to look for a unit that has free map updates. Map updates can cost quite a bit of money - like $100 a pop and you need one every year or two.
