I am looking for metal plates (brushed aluminum, etc.) for my preamp project and possibly, for a pair of diy speaker stands and other applications. I would like some that are appealing, but do not cost a lot. I have never encountered any in catalogs, so I'm wondering where they sell these things. Thanks.

Probably the best place to look is locally. Most cities have a place to source metal sheeting, and stores often will sell scrap for a reasonable amount. (2'x3' scrap makes a nice top and bottom for a box!)
There is some place on the net that sells stuff like this, but it is *very* expensive. |
