Hi.

Is anyone here a member of the German forum "Hifi und Lebensart"?

I would like to join the forum, so that I can view the jpgs and/or contact thye thread starter, but I cannot complete the registration via Google translate.

I´m not a member there, but the thread is basically about this speaker kit:
Hobby HiFi Loudspeaker Kits: Faktum

Then if and how the thread starter should build it is discussed and eventually
the thread stops in 2009 without anything really built.

If you scroll all the way down on the page until you see the blue footer bar, there is a language selection drop-down in the left-hand corner. Maybe switching that to English helps with your registration troubles. Not sure what parts of the registration may not be covered by the language selection.
If all else fails, I am a native German speaker and would be happy to help substitute the often humorous results from Google translate...

Thanks. I had not seen the language button.

It does not help though. The registration process uses a "random question" for security purposes. I have tried translating the question, and inputting my answer in german many times, but I cannot get it right. There are only three or four different questions that are offered.

OK, I just registered and got to see two of the questions. One was a math question about adding and subtracting numbers and the response to that is 'null'.
The other one stated that 'The Earth is.... and therefore it doesn't have corners' and the answer to that is 'rund'.

I'd be happy to help you get through the registration process, although you may get stuck afterwards, because the whole thread is in German and I haven't found an easy way to get it into a PDF.

Let me know if there is more I can help you with and I'd be happy to.

dagerman: Thanks so much for your help. I have managed to join the forum now. I am not sure that the wait was worth it though. The "hidden" pictures were not very inspiring.

I have a copy of the original article in German (below). Would you be prepared to translate certain paragraphs if I get stuck?
