Is there an easy way to build up the oxide layer on aluminum?
I have some matte brushed aluminum parts that get handled a lot and eventually start to turn dark grey in spots. I was thinking maybe if I could intentionally oxidize the parts I wouldn't have to redo the finish so often. Maybe boiling the parts in (water + ?) .
