Default Ed Dell medical emergency

Hi all,

Just got the message that Ed Dell, until a few months ago the publishwer and editor of Audio Amateur, AudioXpress, Speaker Builder, Glass Audio and so on, has suffered a medical emergency.
Ed is curently recovering in the Good Shepherd Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Jaffrey, NH.

I would ask all of you to take the trouble to send him a postcard with good wishes or a get-well message.
Ed is someone who single-handedly did more for diy audio the last 40 years than anyone else, and in this time of distress should know we are thinking of him.

Please send your card to:

Mr. Edward T. Dell Jr.
c/o Good Shepherd Nursing and Rehabilitation Center
20 Plantation Drive
Jaffrey, NH 03452-1935
USA

Thanks!

jan didden

I forwarded Jan's message to the members of my local Northern New England audio circle.. I'm sure at least a few of them feel that he was instrumental in popularizing the hobby.. I have been a continuous subscriber to one of several AA publications for nearly 3 decades..

I agree. I believe that both AA and the much lamented "Audio" magazine were the mainstays of DIY audio and dependable information back in the day.

I certainly hope Ed is on the mend.

Best Regards,
TerryO

Thanks guys. I don't think he will be online anytime soon but as I said, a postcard goes a long way to help him get better.
I repeat the address:

Well,

I just got a thank-you note from Ed. So the address works. He does report he is a bit bored, and looks forward to pleasant diversions.

So even if you have only read his stuff over the past decades don't be shy, send him a card.
