In the process of converting the basement into a listening room. To deaden it up and to hide some stuff, I am thinking about using modular office panels. The basement is fully heated and AC, and dry like the rest of the house.
Has anyone tried using the panels? Seems to me the perfect solution, very sound absorbent, cheap (as used), easily moved and changed, and pretty nice looking for what they are. The walls of the basement are very reflective, open ceiling about 90" high. 86" high panels are available. Need to do something about the ceiling too. Floor is rubber - very absorptive. Thinking about a space of around 18'x14' but not a rectangle ... some angles. Perhaps I'll leave the back side of the room reflective (where seating will be) ... but then again, it is easy to move some panels around and listen ... Any thoughts? |
