When searching I've come across threads dealing with the problem that the Eagle libraries lack certain components that we DIYers use. No one ever seemed to really solved it. Rigth now, I'm looking into laying out the schematic of a gainclone and would really like to be able to use the real chip, instead of another similar one. Does anyone have any solution to this? What do you do with Eagle when the exact component isn't there? (TDA1543 comes to mind as well.) Or do you use another program?
I'm sorry if this has been given a solution previously, but I have searched at least... |

you may have to create the component -- this is possible with Multisim and Ultiboard, I don't know if you have that possibility with Eagle freeware.
You can get around the problem by placing a "pin" at each of the intervals specified by National Semiconductor. If you have to move the device, you move a "group". |

You will have to create the device. Go to the CadSoft download page and download:
ftp://ftp.cadsoft.de/pub/userfiles/doc/eagapp3.zip It will show you how to create and edit parts.
