Question basics of programming µcontrollers??

Hi,

does anybody know where I can find something to read about the basics of programming PIC's, microcontrollers, etc...

I'm also interested in the basics of program language C.

Thanks.

Best regards

Microchip has a tutorial on their website:
www.microchip.com
they've also recently introduced a new programmer aimed at the student, DIY market.

there is nice programmer in the most current issue of Elektor.

AVR's from Atmel also: www.atmel.com

I use PIC Basic-Pro from www.melabs.com -- it makes programming PIC's a snap.
