Ok so i have a bunch of these CCTV baluns laying around (they where .80 each shipped from hong kong) I'm using them to send video over, and they work great!!
But i have a few questions regarding audio. 1. Can I run ~100' audio with out a balun? 2. Can i use the same baluns for ~100' audio runs? 3. I want to run Component/Stereo over one cat5. I see this item on ebay: COMPONENT VIDEO/STEREO AUDIO hidef cat5/5e/6cable BALUN | eBay how can i do this as a DIY (sharing grounds from other pairs and using the extra pair?!?) Thanks for any info! BTW, yes, You should be able to run audio through 300+ ft of cat5 without balums.
