lifespan and replacement surrounds Virgo's

Hi all, Perhaps not a real diy question, but because of all the expertise on this forum I would like to hear your opinion about the lifespan of AP Virgo II’s speakers and speaker surrounds.

I see a lot of Virgo’s II for sale and I am thinking about replacing my Sparks, which I bought five years ago, for the Virgo’s (btw, I use AudioStatics ES300R too).

My main concerns are the speakers. Most of the Virgo’s who are for sale are 10+ years old.

I believe (some of) the drivers are treated paper-cones, and while the Virgo’s don’t have a speaker grill, what is the effect of sunlight on the speakers ?

So what would you think the lifespan of the speakers are (I am not (yet) worried about the electrolytic caps) ?
And further, if a surround is damaged or worn out, could it be easily re-edged (saw some how-to posts and video's, can be done in my opinion) ?
