Consult a licensed electrician for house/building wiring and ground issues! We had
audio equipment hum/noise and minor lightning damage that were caused by Neutral to Ground shorting in our house wiring. This condition is insidious because it won't trip breakers, blow fuses, or show itself in an obvious way, just vaguely show itself by hum and lightning damage sensitivity. Our issues were caused by an unneeded Neutral-to- Ground Bonding strap in our kitchen range, as the strap is needed for 3-wire cord installations and must be removed when using a 4-wire cord. Refer house wiring issues to a licensed electrician. Do not attempt to rewire the cord on a kitchen range, clothes dryer, or any major appliance unless you completely understand how to wire major appliance power connections!
