diy Electronics Safety Wiki Article

Hi All,

Given how everyone on this site promotes safety when dealing with electronics, I decided to do some searching through the site for some safety related tips.

I found a couple of threads that I'm wading through and have updated the diy Safety wiki page.

Could some of you more experienced lot have a look over it and help me fill in the blanks? There's a lot of doom and gloom in there but that's because safety warnings that I've seen on this site are always predicated with doom and gloom... so I'm just trying to capture the tone.

Anyways, are there any errors? Is there anything to add? Is there a better way to format it?

Some notes on creepage and clearance for SELV would be useful, as this is not often mentioned when board layout is discussed, yet is a critical safety requirement of any layout.
