I've search through google and youtube and I need some advice.
I'm looking to build a small stage light fixture for my game/party room. I've looked at alot of setups like this one.. Build the BandBlinder - Stage lights on the cheap I want to set mine up vertical and have another set of 3 on another side. I would like to have the lights setup on a 3 channel system to sync with the music (Bass, Mids, Treble) but also have a override switch so i can control it manually. Is there a controller like this on the market for resonable price, Can someone point me to some DIY info on how to rig a light controller like this. Thnx |

My father invented a color organ that passed all colors twice through a white globe
(once into the bottom of the hollow globe, and again as it passed to be viewed.) Produced the illusion of a single huge lightbulb that could change colors and pulse to the music. Looked best with an inverted spectrum: Blue for lows, red for highs. I always thought it did a poor job of yellow, and four colors might have been better than only three. It had four lamps, but two were blue, cause blue was weaker than red and green. Dicromatic filters, cause other filters of the day weren't narrow enough to produce deeply saturated colors. Also cadmium sulfide cells for feedback... It sat on an inverted trashcan and basically looked like Dalek. This was very early 70's. I lost it in a storage accident, but mean to rebuild again. I need the golbe, I can't find seamless white glass in 24inch anywhere. I see 18 inch, and maybe 20 hanging at every WaffleHouse. But where to buy? |
