I'm a bit confused here as I have been away from audio for some time.
I have read many reviews for various amps that say they are sutible for zone 2 purposes etc but they need a pre amp to use as a stand alone amp.
Now, my confused lies in the fact that if an amp has tone controls etc, it must already have a preamp.
I'm just looking for a simple, low powered amp and was looking at the '"Audio source amp 100" as it would serve my purposes well......... 2x50 wc RMS into 8 ohms with very low THD, etc..
Can this seve as a simple stereo amp.
AudioSource AMP100 2-Ch Source Switching Power Amplifier
Help me sort through the zone 1 / zone 2 maze........ I just want a simple, stereo amp.

I guess I found my answer in this very imformative review of the amp.
AudiogoN Reviews: Audiosource Inc. AMP 100 Amplifier
I think I will order one.
BTW, I will be using a 10 band EQ for freq/tone control and a seperate low level sourse switch to select the inputs of a MM sys.
