Hell ah Mario Karts!!! that one of my top 5 for super-nes. the fake
stereo is just a pair of leads put on the CPU of the system so you can "filter" the 5 sound channels so you get the two main sounds
to a amp where you can do what you want to make it sound good.

Heh, I still have an NES and 4 games buzzing around. I even have two controllers and the Zapper! (And yes one of the games is Duck Hunt/Mario 1.)

SMB3 (naturally), Tetris 2, Othello and Punchout.

Frankly it's gone the way of the dinosaur, being rather extremely outshadowed by simply better games as Duke Nukem 2, Doom and Quake 2.

Punchout.
It sad you could go from having your own video game...a very popular one at the time to being one of the lowest poeple around, in a matter of 10 years.

Super Mario 2 was pretty cool. Excite bike also...especially make your own tracks. Many of those games were just plain fun...Mega Man, Metroid, Zelda, Dragon Warrior...actaully took some skill, not just lightning quick reflexes.

Super Off Road or whatever was really fun...super simple and repetative, but so much fun...Genesis game though I beleive...me and my friends would play that game for HOURS.

well, speaking of old consoles and DIY stuff, there was a blurb in WIRED a couple months ago about a guy who takes old atari 2600 consoles and turns them into handhelds, with a little color lcd screen! i thought that was brilliant.

/andrew - played pong when it was new.

Pong, hell, I programmed a cheezy version of that in QuickBasic. But then, everyone probably has.
