Default anyone messed with sirius radio?

has anyone around here messed with sirius radio? sirius is givine me a free system , so i'm curious if you can upgrade it. all the home units right now just have crappy 1/8" stereo mini jack out to 2 rca's. there are home units on the horizon that will have optical out, but since they arent out yet, i dont get them for free. anyone have ANY experience with them?
