Desperately seeking parts for MX-110 tuner

Hello folks,

I've sent my McIntosh MX-110 tuner/preamp for repair to a good friend/tech (very competent). The tuner needs: T5 FM DISCRIMINATOR, PART NUMBER: T107-135B

and as you may have guessed, McIntosh Labs says that this part is no longer available and they have no replacement for it.

Any idea about where to find it?

Sylvain,

I doubt you will ever find a new one one. What is the problem with the "bad" one? I've successfully repaired these transformers before. They can be easily taken apart.

Hello Charles,

All I know is that technician said that when he tried to do the aligmnent of the tuner, this transfo was broken (ferrite?) More recently, I remember he said that if the part was not available, he might have to "rewind" it.. (broken wire then?) I'll send him an email today and ask him more details. Thanks for being around.
