Hello.
Neurotechnology Brain Stimulation Magnetic Stimulation: A Few Transcranial Zaps and You're a Happy Genius The 'thinking cap' that could unlock your inner genius and boost creativity | Mail Online BBC News | HEALTH | Unlocking the brain's potential Savant for a Day - NYTimes.com Ultrasound Stimulation: Brain stimulation with ultrasound may enhance cognitive function Are there any interested hobbyist who would develop a helmet, and published a guide / blueprint? Ultrasound appears to be the best method. Thanks... Last edited by Tobias Claren; 21st February 2011 at 01:12 PM. |

I've often wondered why no one offers an MRI machine as a do-it-yourself kit for the home constructor.

Why does this make me think of Walter Pidgeon in Forbidden Planet? (when I'd rather think of Anne Francis in the same film).
Not to mention Cuckoo's Nest.

I recognize the cynicism of your words, but I'm serious.
An MRI costs millions and serves a different purpose. But you can build an electron microscope. School classes have already done. A "thinking cap" ("Gyro Gearloose" ;]) can someone develop private. Why not? A Nuremburg Funnel :-D. Better (and safer) than Ritalin and Co. .. Last edited by Tobias Claren; 22nd February 2011 at 05:51 AM. |

Yes and no, because it takes no special knowledge of electronics.
Moreover, it is very inaccurate and superficial. It does not reach deeper brain regions. And you need wet contacts. Math ability can also enhance with magnetic, and i mean ultrasound. |

You may already be doing it with your mobile phone.
This just in: Cellphone study: Cellphone radiation heightens brain activity, study finds - latimes.com
