From technical point of view, today would possible the 3D copy of the genuine sonic field in the listener's room. However, listening to a good stereo or surround production often is more pleasant as the original event.
My question thus, should we pursuit the goal of a genuine like reproduction? Conversely, is all the science - Ambisonics, Wave Field Synthesis, Holophony and whatever - a path in the wrong direction? ![]() H. |
