Hey guys. I have been playin with my dad's old Quad Sansui QR-4500 amp and I was wondering if I can use it as an amp for my surround speakers. How would I hook this amp up to a surround decoder, (would I just use an aux. input or the pre. in)

it depends on your install
mine is
1 dvd with 5,1 output (2front,2rear,1center,1sub)
1 amp for the front
1 amp for the rear
1 amp for the center and sub (left channel center, right= sub)
i'm waiting for another amp to have one for sub and one for center
it's hard to tune but really sounds like hell
a preamp will simplify this install
