Hi all,
in a couple of months I'll get from my mother an old Brionvega RR130.
It's out of order and several mechanical parts inside are rusted and stuck.
I still didn't decide if I should reanimate it and just restore the whole thing or maybe refurbish it to a modern, digital version RR130D :)
I know it's almost a sacrilege as the RR130 is in the MoMa in NYC.
Anyway I'm looking for suggestions on how to transform it for the digital era. It should stay under the LCD tv and work as media center.
Some of my ideas:
- adapt the tape slot for the iphone
- remove the turntable and replace it with cd/dvd/blueray player
- remove the turntable and replace it with an LCD screen
- new digital amp and sound management
- move to 5.1 system adding wireless speakers
- add a wifi router
- add a HD (file server?)
- leave the analog controls
- adapt the radio frequency indicator for... ? TV channels, preferred internet radios?

Please let me know what do you think and what are your suggestions

Enrico
