I have no money to contribute, but I fully support this experiment, and I'm very interested in seeing the results.

Perhaps, once the tests have been done, they should appear at various audio meets, so we can test a huge audience, ABX-style.

That looks like about 14 so far, or $140. Pretty close to the cost of a pair needed.
