Hey guys,
Just new here, to learn and if i can, share too. I have a question -I read so many times in the forum the word equalise or equalization such as in the phrase "Plus you can equalise the bass... important for OB". What does that mean? Sorry... for asking a dumb question. |

Hi and welcome to the forum.
EQ is a fancy tone control. It allow you to adjust not just the Hi/Lo, but much finer bands, or areas. So if the bass is lacking in a certain area, yo can turn up just that area, or frequency range. Ditto any other part of the audio spectrum. Here is some good reading for you: The Art of Equalization On OB there is usually a bass boost to make up for the open baffle bass loss.

Now i know, i have been guessing here and there on what it meant, i get the idea, and know how important it is in designing active crossover circuits. Thanks for the answer in simple English and the link too, panomaniac.
