Exclamation logitech z5300e

I know this topic was addressed but it was some years ago. I have a set of these speakers, owned them for 2 weeks when I spilled water on the pod in my sleep. All I want to do is use them! You can't get just the pod,the schematics of other systems doesn't match. Can someone plz tell me how to run these without the pod? I've figured out the "power on" but there's no sound, just a "pop" on & off. I can use a software eq,just want to get some use out of these, they were awesome!! I went & bought a lesser unit on ebay & use the satelites. Nothing compared to the huge sub on the 5300's. I paid close to $300 for these. So all the peeps who think they're letting some "secret" out, give it up. They don't service thier products, they build the systems so if anything goes wrong you need to buy new. Not fair or acceptable practise in my book. I'm not looking to sell the scematic,I just want to use what I paid alot of bones for.

Sorry to say this mate but your options are not good. I'm pretty much in the same boat as you because my Z680 sub died and Logitech won't fix them. I have tried fixing them myself but it is just too hard to do without the schemactics for it. I guess your only option is to either sell the sub or buy another control pod. I have tried using my Z680's pod on my Z5500's and that seemed to get power through but I wasn't game enough to try and hook the sound up on it to do a thorough testing. If your interested in selling the sub then let me know cause I might just buy it as a fix to me Z680's sub dying. I'm from Sydney NSW so send me a email to fark_u_mate@yahoo.com.au or PM me if your interested.

Exclamation I'm s.o.l.

Well, thanks for replying. I am tired of trying to get it to work minus the pod. A shame they made the weak link the most used part! I'll sell the sub but I'm using the satelites on a refurb set of x540's. The satelites are the same wattage but I liked the way the 5300's look. So if you want I can include the 5 satelites that I got with the refurb unit, the 5300e sub assembly, a pinout description for what I've found, & the pod. The pod is apart, with all the pieces. I had to de-solder a few wires on the pod to find the pinouts I made & I found a bad diode, which I removed but couldn't find a replacement for. Chances are,if you can find that diode or one like it, the thing will work fine. If not then the rest is like new condition. 5300 system was only used for 2 weeks before the accident. I'll just save up for the 5500 I guess.

Thanks for your prompt reply.

I am interested in buying the SUB if you are based in Australia but if you are located in another country then it is going to be too expensive for shipping and the AC voltage would be different.

Please send me a PM if you are interested with a price you are happy to let the sub go for.
