hehehe... he's right...they ARE worth it! I tease SY on the forum, he is ever so gracious and I've eaten at his home on many occasions. I count myself quite lucky.

(what i'd really be interested in is the achieved/estimated copy number of Vol 0 and/or 1)

Hi Jan,

I just noticed there's #1 already available - congrats! Of course it's already ordered.

Thanks! Hannes

OK Jan,

You shamed me into actually paying for a copy! Of course I took the DIY discount.

You do know I am so cheap that I not only use one sheet of the free paper locally called the Pennysaver in the morning, but I let it dry and fold it over to use the other side the next day!

Jan,

We need to talk about order numbers! You may wish to change to alphanumerics unless you want anyone to be able to figure out your circulation is about 1/2 of ....

Cool! Between the dry gulches here and rattlesnakes, I should see mine in about 6 months or so being as I live on the fringes here in Texas. It's a long wayyy to the mail station in Austin.

Very interesting. Good stuff on feedback; can we now insist that there are three amounts of feedback: none, insufficient and enough? (N.B. some designers call insufficient "modest").

Also interesting measurements on resistors and capacitors. Will Doug Self be designing a capacitor/cable burn-in device for volume 2?

Yes. I must say, I am pretty proud of the crisp, sharp, AP plots in Ed's article.
I now probably know more about book design and layout than audio ....
