Trying to build a biaural mic.. help!

Hi

I am trying to build a binaural mic.. and hoping for some help..

1. - this website looks easy to follow - How to make a binaural stealth mic with an old pair of headphones for around $4 but it doesnt come with instructions on how to build the battery pack. Can you just buy a battery and attatch it easily to this design? if so how? because my mics can not jack power from my recorder ..

or 2. This website does explain how to make the battery pack Binaural Microphone Construction but unfortunately i don't understand how to read the diagram http://webpages.charter.net/tidmarsh/binmic/circuit.txt ... im sure this is easy to follow, but i am new to this! i can solder but not read the diagram. could someone help me out and explain in idiot proof terms how i do this/ draw a diagram that is clearer?

In the ASCII circuit diagram, the "-" of the 9V battery is connected to the shield and the capsule, the "+" is connected to the 10k resistor. It's the same as the diagram on the first linked page. It's really that simple.
