I recently heard a pair of Wilson Alexandrias. They sounded incredible, but not that incredible.

These, for example....

Surely, a good pair of 18" drivers per side would anhilate those, so why bother, except to make a huge visual statement? Speakers are about audio, so there's no point in the visuals anyway, especially when you have that sort of money to throw around.
