Bought it. It's built like a tank, and sounds VERY VERY good. Not only that, there's plenty of room for mods in it! (circuitry left for digital out, and so). Already did my first one, which was converting it to a 220vac unit. For 35us$ i couldn't be happier! 
One final thing; this unit uses "MASH noise shaping technology". I've seen a couple of Technics cd units in the past with the same logo; anyone knows what does it do?
