Wouldn’t this be a nice place to celebrate some specials?
1K posts, 1-year member, 50 years of marriage, 10th baby, 20th amplifier, 10th speaker blown…? Soon we will bake a cake for Roddyama's 1K post. /Hugo

I think that it would be best to congratulate Peter for his 5000th post, 5x enlightened now, I suppose. He had exactly 5000 posts when I checked a second ago.
Damn, that is a lot of posts! -- Brian |

Not meaning to complain or anything, but I've always been a
bit puzzled about these congratulations for 1000th post etc. Personally I rather find it a bit embarassing when I find my posting ratio have been quite high for more than, say a few days. It probably just means my S/N ratio has been bad. Now, don't let this personal opinion take the joy out it for those who do want their 1000th post etc. celebrated. As for 10th speaker blown, I have to blow 9 more, but that should not need to take very long if I wanted to go for it. |

Of course S/N should be high and I think you can’t complain about yours. This thread is actually nothing more than one of my personal attempts to tighten the community. /Hugo |

part of the sentence), but thanks for the nice words in this respect. Quote:
appropriate one to post this reflection I've had for very long. I have said it before and I say it again. I wish we had a hundred more Hugos on the forum. You do a wonderful job of trying to be nice to everybody, cheering people up and, of course, helping them with finding equivalent transistors, for instance. BTW, I love those small comments you usually make in you posts, like "Hugo, gone shopping", "Hugo, searching the databooks". It gives a warm personal touch to your posts. |
