All colours are very weak with rather new toners. Any clue? 8000 pages.

The drums have an organic photoconductive coating that is extremely sensitive to light. This coating eventually wears out and can cause problems similar to yours. It could also be a problem with waste toner build-up in the carts.

The cartridges are original, not refilled. As you can see the toner is weak for all colours.

Edit 2:
The color sampler says all colors are weak, but black is much, much weaker (near 0 most of the time), hmm... Try shaking the black catridge. Last edited by wwenze; 24th April 2010 at 06:09 AM. |

No, I can't see. There's one thumbnail, when it's expanded it looks as as though there are 2 pages in the foreground, the one on the right is streaky, the one on the left a bit murky but not streaky and might be acceptable. Then there's a test print further up, but the CMYK in that looks well saturated. Is there another image posted that I've missed?
You have to wonder what is going on if the test print is well saturated, but I can't actually tell if that is the case. w |

Maybe a failing high-voltage supply?

I suspect this is an systematic error and the high voltage or something with the charging could be the trouble.
