Default Lexus Navi. Screen question

Hi,
first of all sorry for asking video-related questions first but I know there are a lot of more than talented electronic guys here and I donīt want to subscribe to another forum, too. I have a quiet good understanding of amplifier - electronics and electronics generally but do not know much of video-electronics or the CAN-Bus Systems they use in Cars nowadays.

I have a Lexus navigation screen which Iīd like to connect another video source to. Now I found some "video-connectors/conerters" for Toyota and Lexus but I donīt think 300 bugs is a reasonable price for what I think to belive two simple video chips and an AMP-Toyota connector-plug. And of course, Iīd like to know how stuff works.

As far as I can see the screen is not having any fancy electronics itself, I know it uses somea touchscreen-electronics, but the video-playback I assume is just a normal video-RGB line.

Thatīs what the Toyota wiring diagram says. Is that an RGB(HV) System ? Are there video-chip - suggestion which I could use to switch between the stock Navi.-DVD Player unit and an external source ?

The last stage should be a third input channel for a backup camera. The cameras I found can deliver PAL and NTSC - video format , but use the RCA plug (yellow) which in my understanding is a composite video-signal.

From what I found on google is that a composite video-signal cannot be feed directly into a RGB(HV) screen and needs to be converted first.

Any ideas and suggestions would be very helpful in getting this stuff started .

Thanks
Stephan

Doing some more reading on that topic I īd think now that this is a RGBS connection, but can someone tell me what the "RV" line (yellow cable) is ?
