DVD player mods

I got one of those cheap DVD players that use an actual IDE CD-ROM drive so I can mess around. The only large ICs are an ESS VideoDrive and some RAM. No component video, just S-Video and composite.
I'm using an external DAC.

I am looking for possible mods I can do.
